Emmanuel’s desire to reach our community with the love of God extends to all ages. Thus, a key component of our ministry reaches out to the youth of Bethlehem through basketball. Our Bethlehem Christian Youth Basketball League instills confidence, encourages positive attitudes, and builds a foundation for personal success that will go with them throughout their lives. The BCYBL directors and leaders are Christians who have a heart for the youth of Bethlehem. The spiritual side of our program entails bringing both teams to the center of the court to pray before each game, and at half-time we do a 5-10 minute devotion. Devotionals and prayers are included as part of both practice and game times. We truly believe this basketball league is keeping kids engaged in healthy activities and giving them an uplifting way to spend their time. Through the love of Jesus Christ, sports and discipline, they learn to find new ways of coping with the stresses of life, on and off the court.
