Our Interim Pastor – Rev. Eric Johnson
Eric and Jenny Johnson served with Young Life for 25 years. During that time they worked with thousands of teenagers and trained hundreds of volunteer leaders. In 2012, Eric was led to focus his ministry exclusively on the adult community in the Lehigh Valley. He founded the 501(c)3 non-profit ministry “Adult Life” to reach beyond the traditional influences of the church.
Eric believes that the most effective way to reach adults is through relationships, and the mission of Adult Life is to extend God’s grace to all adults, and help them explore and mature in their faith.
In addition to serving as our interim pastor, Eric also leads over 100 adults every week in “relationship groups” where they wrestle together with the meaning of life, relationships, and faith.
Eric and Jenny have been married for 39 years. They have four children and five grandchildren. Eric received his Master of Divinity in 1996 and is currently a doctoral candidate.
Our Secretary– Diana Docteroff
Diana is the cheery person answering the church phone in the afternoon! She joined the staff of Emmanuel E.C. Church in March 2019, bringing with her a wealth of secretarial, ministry and business experience as well as a heart for God and for people. She has been an assistant cub scout leader, brownie leader, Sunday School teacher, and VBS helper, and remains active in a number of ministries! Diana, her husband Paul and their 2 college-aged children live in Bethlehem.
